Building Performance Computing provides an introduction to computational methods and applications for building performance assessment. This course introduces thermal modelling fundamentals of building performance simulation.
Topics include: modeling and design, overview of thermal domain knowledge, introduction to the application of computational building simulation tools for thermal performance assessment, case studies and assignments on the application of simulation in building design and operation.
The designated energy simulation tool for the purposes of this course is the application EnergyPlus.
